As a therapist, I recognize the courage required to be truly open with another person and the extreme vulnerability it takes. My primary objective is to walk alongside you as you navigate your journey offering respect, empathy, and non-judgement. If you feel you have exhausted all options and may doubt your ability to resolve these challenges – I disagree! In using a solution-focused therapeutic approach, I strive to empower clients so that they can process and explore more effective resolutions to their problems. I strive to help clients move from a problem-focused to a solution-focused orientation. It’s an honor for me to accompany my clients on their unique journey’s.

I am Daisy Ruiz, a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I received my Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Texas Southern University and a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Houston. Currently an Administration of Justice PhD student focusing on advancing the field in mental health, racial and health disparities, and the intersection of policy and community resources. With over 7 years in the field, my passion is working with both individual and relational concerns. I am trained in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and have a deep passion for supporting women experiencing any of these symptoms, and together we can develop a therapeutic and accessible plan for you to start feeling like you again. My experience includes fertility support. I understand that the fertility and reproductive journey can have great impact on an individual and couple, and my mission is to provide compassionate support while cultivating a space where you can process and heal your pain. I enjoy working with couples to find a way to strengthen the relationship, recognize unproductive cycles, thrive through conflict, and enhance their communication skills. We will do so by holding space for individual narratives, as well as shared goals, needs and dreams to exist within a relationship to deepen long-lasting connection with one another.

I also enjoy working with people seeking to find meaning and purpose in life, work-life balance, high achievers, those experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, major life transitions, and family stress. My therapeutic approach includes Bibliotherapy, there is something so healing about reading someone else’s written words and resonating with the content. Additionally, I include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy to challenge unhelpful patterns, and develop new, more satisfying perspectives. My holistic, empathetic, and authentic mission is to help you gain control of your life and envision a new future.
