NEURODIVERGENT-AFFIRMING THERAPY | ADHD | DEPRESSION

If you’re reading this, I want to start by acknowledging how much courage it takes to even consider therapy. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, confused, or simply unsure of where to turn next, I’m grateful you’ve taken this moment for yourself. Reaching out for help isn’t easy, especially when you’ve been trying to hold everything together on your own. But it is a powerful and meaningful step toward healing, and I want you to know that you don’t have to navigate any of this alone. Life can bring moments that shake us, stretch us, and leave us feeling disconnected from who we are or who we want to be. Sometimes the pain is loud and obvious; other times it’s quiet, internal, and hidden from everyone else. No matter what you’re facing, your feelings are valid, your experiences matter, and you deserve a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

I am Maurisa Harris, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). I received my Bachelor of Social Work degree from Grambling State University and a Master of Social Work Degree from Grambling State University. I’ve spent years walking alongside people who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship struggles, grief, postpartum challenges, ADHD, autism, and the kind of emotional pain that can feel impossible to put into words. I’ve worked with adults, college students, and teens, and one thing I’ve learned is this: every person’s story is unique, and so is their path to healing.

When we work together, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported, without judgment and without pressure. My approach is centered on empowerment. I want to help you recognize the strength you already carry, develop practical tools for change, and feel ownership over your progress at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you’re facing loud, overwhelming emotions or quiet internal battles no one else sees, I’m here to listen. I’m here to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing. And I’m here to walk with you, step by step, as you move toward healing. I truly believe that growth is possible, that healing is within reach, and that you already have what it takes to move forward. Sometimes you just need the right support to uncover it.

Wherever you are in your journey, I’m here when you’re ready.
